ABOUT PARS

Welcome to PARS Playwork!

PARS playwork is all about learning. Beginners, advanced practitioners, PARS Licenced Trainers and even the creator of the PARS model of playwork practice, Dr Shelly Newstead, are constantly learning about the theory and practice of PARS playwork and how best to explain it to other adults. We take huge pleasure in learning from each other about what it means to put the PARS model into practice across geographical and cultural boundaries. We also take every opportunity to learn from academics and practitioners from other disciplines to best use of existing knowledge about how to promote childhood, rather than constantly re-inventing the wheel.

PARS playwork practice can be used wherever children spend their free time being supervised by adults.

 ABOUT PARS

lnternational learning community

Our PARS Learnworlds site is not about selling you a training course. It's about creating an international body of knowledge about what it means to do PARS playwork, so that adults around the world can more easily compensate children for their presence in supervised settings. To put it simply, the more people we train, the more knowledge is created which leads to more possibilities for developing connections and expertise across the world. And the more PARS-trained adults, the more children get to benefit from adult-free time in their supervised settings. At the end of the day, it's all about the kids.
